Restorative Justice and Victims: Reflections from a Survivor and Practitioner
Until recently, Ellen Halbert was victim advocate in a prosecutor’s office. She is herself a survivor of a violent attack and also a facilitator of severe crime dialogues. She was the mediator/facilitator in the well-known case documented in the film, “Meeting with a Killer.” An unusual characteristic of this documentary is that it provides glimpses not only of the encounter, but also of the preparation that went into it.
In this interview-based webinar, she will reflect on the theory and practice of restorative justice but also on the case documented in the film.
